Pros: Dell XPS 13 can fit a glass covered 13” screen into a smaller body, even smaller than expected. Its design is hard not to notice as it is sophisticated yet sturdy.

Cons: Port selection is limited and does not come with SD card slot or HDMI. The display could have been better and its battery life is not as impressive.

Summary: The Dell XPS Ultrabook is a competitive slim laptop with 13 inch screen display. It even tops some of the few slim laptops in some areas.

• Poor quality display

Toshiba’s AT100 Tablet tries to stand out from the rest by offering some of the best features including the removable battery, full sized SD card slot, USB ports and full sized HDMI. However, Toshiba chose a poor quality which takes away the overall appeal of the Tablet. Read More »

HP Pavilion DV6-4023TX

Pros:
• Powerful laptop for the price
• High quality graphic display
• Energy conservative LED screen

Cons:
• Limited internal hard drive

Review:

The HP Pavilion DV6-4023TX is a 15.6 inch laptop that is an incredibly powerful and resourceful machine for multimedia use and high end business purposes. The graphical quality of the laptop is second to none. Asus X44L-VX003V Notebook Review

Pros:
• Generous amount of 4GB DDR3 RAM
• Extreme portability
• Comes with a USB 3.0 port
• Fitted with DVD and web cam

Cons:
• No HDMI
• Not suitable for gaming or superior performance video editing
• Low end onboard graphics

Review:

The Asus X44L-VX003V Notebook is powered by the dual core processor Intel core i3 2.1GHZ and a large amount of 4GB DDR3 ram compared to other models that are of the same price range. This notebook comes with an Intel HD Graphics Built in CPU graphics that enables for a rich media experience. However, it has a low end onboard graphics but can allow games 2+ years to run on the low settings fairly well due to the 4GB ram. This notebook is a suitable option for those who don’t want to use it for gaming or even in video editing. Read More »

HP Pavilion dv7 Review

Pros:
• Attractive design and good construction quality
• Switchable graphics to balance power and efficiency
• Provides enough processing power for the price

Cons:
• Switchable graphics requires closing applications
• Average battery life

Review:

The HP Pavilion dv7 is not only bigger but better than the HP dv6. This machine weighs less than 3.5 kg. It has the same chiclet keyboard as the dv6 and with complete numeric keypad designed for gaming. The palm rest is huge with more than 4 inches deep and leaves plenty of room for the large touchpad. It has 17 inches screen that allows clear viewing and you have a lot of space for photo-editing with its 1600×900 resolution. Read More »
